That's Good Morning in Welsh. :D (I'm learning the language, so just ignore me if I slip into it on occasion. *grins*

My name is Kay Derwydd, and I'm an author of erotic gay fiction. I'm also one of three admins at the ERWF (Erotic Romance Writers Forum). I've been published in Forbidden Fruit ezine and Ruthie's Club, and I have one short story accepted (not published yet) by Chippewa Publishing. (I also recently sent them my first novel, The Legacy.)

My primary genre is as mentioned above, and my stories tend to fall within the subgenres of fantasy, sword & sorcery, and paranormal. Elves, sorcerers, angels (fallen and not), shapeshifters, and especially vampires, rule my worlds. :)

Even though I tend to stay ungodly busy with two toddlers, writing, and playing too much online, I'm going to *try* to keep up with things here as much as possible. (Must feed that forum addiction, you know.)

Anyhow, I look forward to chatting with everyone (or at least within reason)!

Behind you!
How nice to meet you! You'll find good company in the Erotica section here, including at least two authors who also write gay erotica. And women writing while sidestepping small children appear on pretty much every board, so you're sure to find kindred souls.

How do you say in your language?

Hey, Kay -- is "iasome" Welsh, too? And if so, what does it mean?

Hmmm ... does it mean "woman with two toddlers"?
No, no -- does it mean "woman who loves vampires"?
"Woman who loves to write erotica?"
"Woman with two toddlers who loves vampires and to write erotica"?
"Woman with two toddlers who loves vampires and to write gay erotica and ..."?

[I hear that Welsh is quite a peculiar language -- how peculiar?]

In any case -- welcome.

Hehe... actually, it's the Romanian word for jasmine (as in the flower/scent). Now, Kay is a male/unisex Welsh name meaning 'fiery' and Derwydd is the Welsh word for 'Druid' (which I am).

VERY peculiar. The biggest issue is the pronunciation and spelling. The only way you can even attempt to pronounce most Welsh words correctly is to hear them. LOL For example, looking at my last name, you'd think it would be pronounced 'Derwid'. No. It's pronounced 'Derwith'. 'Dd' in Welsh is 'th'.

And thank you for the welcome! :D (I really should visit the boards more often, but I've been up to my ears in work. LOL)

LOL Thanks! :D And for those interested, the following is a quick little lesson in basic Welsh. (Bear in mind that most of these are the familiar forms; I didn't bother with the formal.)

Bore da - Good morning
P'nawn da - Good afternoon
Noswaith dda - Good evening
Croeso - Welcome (You're welcome)
Diolch - Thanks
Helo - Hello
Iawn - Okay
Hwyl fawr - Goodbye
Os gweli di'n dda - Please
Dim problem - No problem
Gyda llaw - By the way

And here's one excellent link for basic Welsh: http://www.clwbmalucachu.co.uk/cheatsheets.htm
