Formatting A.M/P.M. size (small caps in MS Word)

I'm performing final edits to the proof of my novel for the publisher and I know I've seen somewhere on this forum how to format A.M./P.M. to a smaller size within the Word document.

Your kind instruction is much appreciated.

Small caps. Double-underline in the text with the letters "sc" circled in the right margin beside them.

Actually, James, I'm making my corrections/additions within the actual Word Proof file. I'm looking for instruction regarding how to implement the smaller A.M./P.M. within Word.

An editor friend suggested Control D, Small Caps (within the box), but even this doesn't seem to translate.

I don't have my laptop with my Word program on it right now, but if I'm not mistaken it's either a special character or you can make small caps under the paragraph options where strikethrough is (should be same menu).

It's under the font menu. Highlight the text you want in small caps, right click, select Font and check the small caps box.
