I'm starting my Christmas shopping early and decided a nice book might be nice for my Nan. She's 80 and I would think would enjoy women's fiction with a christian view point since she is deeply religious. Does anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps something with larger print? thks.

Try James Scott Bell's books. He has written a series (can't remember the name right now) of a Christian woman lawyer in frontier Los Angeles around 1900. I haven't yet heard of anyone who doesn't like his books.

Agreed. Jimbo's a good friend, and a great writer. If your Gran is a fan of prairie romances or Amish stories, you could go with Janette Oake or Beverly Lewis. For suspense, Brandilyn Collins or Al Ganksy.

And for nasty shoot-'em-ups, mine. :D

My 85yr old gran can't get enough of the Amish novels. She's read all of Bev Lewis, so now I'm getting her ones by other authers.

You might also try Deb Macomber. My mother in law loved her books.

Kim Sawyer writes a mix of Amish-or-something like it, historical, and contemporary, all on the gentle side.

Of course, if Gram suffers from insomnia, you could always get her one of mine.
