As I prepare to send a query letter to an agent, I am having trouble placing my book in a specific genre. It is of course nonfiction, but not necessarily narrative nonfiction, it is not a memoir, what it is is a collection of real letters written by real people to those who have passed. What would this be considered? Inspirational? There's a book called Letters to eBay written by one of our AW members. If you do a search, you should be able to track him down.
I would say that whatever genre your book is should be similar to his. His, of course, is humor, but it's more than that. Yours is inspirational, but it's more than that.
