Hi all.

Just a quick one.

Is it necessary to include a header in the submission documents, you know, name, title, etc.? And if so, is there a specified format?

Many thanks,

Ian

If you're sending your query, synopsis and sample chapters all in one package (and have checked it's how the agent wishes to receive submissions) then you don't need a header, because all the info's in the query. It's when you're sending a full that you should include a header.

Wait. WAIT. I read this before my morning cup of tea and got it wrong. I thought you meant cover sheet. Yes, you need a header on each page of the sample chapters. (If that's what you meant by header -- you know, the info line that goes at the top of each page, usually NAME / TITLE or something similar. If you meant cover sheet, then ignore this.) *slaps self*
