Hi everyone, so I would like to get your opinion. I saw this topic touched on briefly in an Uncle Jim thread, but my question is a little more specific:
In a fantasy world set in a fictious future (but medieval level technology), I had wanted to use metric for all the measurements. Partially just because here in the US it is annoying to me that we haven't adopted metric and thought I should get on the band wagon to help the cause. However do you think that I would be alienating readers if I am shooting for a primarily American market? I assume yes, and am ready to translate my figures back, but wanted a 2nd (or 3rd) opinion or so.
