Lawrence considered Billington a workaholic, and as such, a kindred spirit.

Not sure if its written correctly or not. Any advice?

I'd have a comma after the 'and'. Seems full of commas but I think that's the way to do it. My Canadian editor likes commas - I take it that means it is the 'in' thing these days.

No comma after "workaholic" or "and." This is because the second part isn't an independent clause.

It should be: Lawrence considered Billington a workaholic and as such, a kindred spirit.

Disclaimer: I'm British and we do things differently here. This is what I would write:
Lawrence considered Billington a workaholic and, as such, a kindred spirit.

No comma before 'and' because 'and' and 'but' are strong enough conjunctions not to require it.

The sentence is basically:

Lawrence considered Billington a workaholic and a kindred spirit.

So you want commas around the parenthetical phrase 'as such'.
