My agent is preparing to submit my manuscript to publishing houses and has suggested creating a pre-marketing plan. One idea is a literacy fair type of event with YA authors (booths, your books to sell, pen in hand), local bands, and of course, food.
Are any published YA authors possibly interested in such an event?
I'm situated in Connecticut and can host such an event at my school, Bacon Academy in Colchester.
Everything is in the preliminary stage, but this fall is a possible timeframe.
