Hi everyone,
Noob here joining the AW community. I hope to get to know a number of you and pick your brains to learn all I can about the fine art and craft of writing.

I have a middle-grade novel that's about halfway done. I put it on the shelf for a couple of years, while I dabbled with other writing. But I realized I cannot let it sit and not give me the satisfaction of seeing it to completion. So here I am tapping away at the keyboard.

The time away from my book has been beneficial. The story, and the characters, are more real to me now than ever before. I'm excited to finish it and see where it will take me. Whether or not it gets published, I'm sure the writing itself will be an illuminating and satisfying experience.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

What, pray-tell, be a middle-grade novel?

Welcome.

:)

Middle Grade is the stage just before Young Adults. I'm not writing a picture book, but it also doesn't have the kind of angst and romance that YA novels have. Age-wise, Middle Grade readers are those 8-12 years old, I think. ;)
