cool:) what does he study? I have been using "iron" fans for about 8 years now.

Nothing currently and I can't remember what he used to. Don't tell him, okay? And he's sleeping now, or I would ask. It was before he and I met. I think whatever discipline it was became a casualty of his first marriage, e.g., she pitched a fit about it after their kids came along and he eventually gave it up.

I am pretty sure he was a black belt and he's prior Special Forces, too, so I would not want to run into either of you in a dark alley! ;)

Have you been able to use your skills in real-world situations?

my main reason for studying martial arts is the mental focus and physical fitness.

no I have had to use it since I have been training official in martial arts. Self-defense was not really a concern of mine. I have been able to take care of myself since I was a teenager...I had a friend who taught me things, he was an immigrant from Romania. My last stepdad was a jar head, he taught me stuff too:)

yes, they are:) I have several of them in my life, some military gal pals, too. A good lady friend of mine is a drill sgt. in the army:)

They have a good way at looking at things:)

Yes and my hubby is very good about making sure I leave the house in time to get to my gigs. I have time issues. ;)

He affectionately calls it 'redhead time'.
