I have an idea that I would like to bounce off everyone. I'm thinking of dropping a character from Ink into the new story, just a quick little appearance, nothing major, no dialogue, etc. You guys know that my bad boy Sailor wears many different suits, right? Well, one of the suits he wears is that of a hospital orderly, and since the MC of Into the Grey is a cancer patient, the orderly's appearance would fit. His walk is very distinctive, no matter what suit he wears. ;)

It would be nothing more than a pass by in a hallway, but the prospect makes me giggle, in a dark, mischievous way. Sort of a 'spot the sailor' thing. Hell, if I can get published, it could be my own little dark trick with all subsequent tales.

So, opinions please. Quirky? Stupid? Clever? What'cha think?

Damien, I have something similar in all of my horror tales, and even in the one you are beta reading right now. :) I don't think anyone has spotted it yet. It's a hard to see thing--but it IS there. I think this is something a lot of writers do... kind of like an internal signature. Go right ahead... I think Sailor is an excellent character to do this with too. I like the whole "spot the Sailor" type of thing. Sounds like a go to me. :)

Hi guys. What's crackin'?

Thanks girl! And yes, I think Sailor is the perfect one to use because he does not have to look the same, at all. It's just that distinctive walk and of course, the little tune he likes to hum...

Oh yeah, leave 'em rolling in the isles. *dusts off hands*

So... my husband's at the hospital. I'm pretty sure he broke his finger, as well as sliced it open. He was putting a new axle joint on the front axle... well, trying to. The thing is impossible to get to. And I can't do shit on cars. Not anymore. I can work on anything made before 1995. After that... I'm lost unless it's brakes or U joints or something similar.

Hi everybody. I just saw Leukman's new avie. I'm traumatized.

Sorry to hear about the hubby's fingers Effey. Axles are indeed a pain in the tail. So are harmonic balancers. My dad broke three breaker bars just trying to get the harmonic balancer off my Acclaim. And then there was the whole wheel hub fiasco. Eeek. Cars are a pain.

I think it's a cool idea! Kind of a dark version of Pixar's spot their other characters in their new stuff thing. I like it alot - and it would fit in really well.

Well, gang, I've goatta go - pay the bills job is way behind...

Hiya Hinny. No problem. Feel free to be excited, creepy, or whatever have you.

Hmmm. I like this idea Dgrin. Fun. Spot Sailor. *giggle* I can't wait to see this in print. Then I'll tell everybody I know, "yeah, I met the author online. I was there when she talked about starting Spot Sailor".

Oh, he will be fine. He breaks fingers all the time... though he's never quite broken one this badly. Usually just a little crack in the bone... you could literally see where it broke. He'll be okay. He's used to it. But it does hurt.

Laurie, have a good night. Don't let the paying job get to you.

Shail!! You beautiful wolfie thang you! What's up?

In the dark side of my mind.
Okay... random question. Sorry if it grosses anyone out.

Can you start puberty over? I mean... I never had any kind of a break out, zit/pimple wise until this year... and now I think my boobs are getting bigger. Is it puberty all over again? God I hope not.

Not much. I'm going nuts with summer vacation only half over.

I've cleaned my rather small house twice already since the last time I logged on, and took the kids to the park a bunch.
