Might someone explain to me how to convert a Word 2007 document into Rich Text Format for attachment to an email?

Click on the Microsoft Icon in the circle on the upper left hand corner of the page.
Click on Save As
Under Save As Type, select Rich Text Format

Open your document. Click "Save As," then select "Rich Text Format" on the pop-up window.
Fairy left out a step and Julie has her versions mixed up.
After Fairy's Save As step, select Other Formats
the old Save As dialog box will display. in the bottom dropdown box, select "Rich Text Format (RTF)" then click OK.
