I'm sending an agent a chapter-by-chapter synopsis for a narrative nonfiction book that reads like a novel. I know in fiction, you're supposed to put a character's name in ALL CAPS the first time it's mentioned in the synopsis, but what about for nonfiction?

I've sent out a few and I've never heard that rule. I've never been corrected or critiqued about it either. I'm sure someone who knows more than me might have a different take since I'm a little new at this.
