note to the regs

I'm posting this here because I've only finished the first of many steps by writing THE END to my newest WIP. Nothing accomplished, really, just another point along the journey.

But I wanted to sincerely thank the regulars on here that provide inspiration to keep moving forward in a world that often seems filled only with despair and rejection.

I did actually reach my goal of finishing my first draft before the R's started rolling in for my first MS, for which the agents are now welcome to toss in the trash, since this one's so much better. It took 49 days for 75k...now I've gotta make them an interesting 75k.

Off to SYW with a query, if anyone's interested in hacking away.

Indeed. The only time I feel gratified in the writing process is writing that last sentence...at least until ten minutes later, so I speak for many here (I believe) when I say I feel your elation. Congrats.

If nothing else through the other writers on this board you are able to see where you've been, where you are, and where you're going. There's a lot of frustration in the process of what most of us are attempting to do. Take encouragement in anything you can get your paws on and learn from everything else.
