I hope I am placing this in the correct area and not breaking any forum rules. I read the newbie guide and did not see any restrictions on this type of post. Here it goes...
We are sponsoring an Erotic Writing Contest. The contest is for erotic stories related to Las Vegas. Rules and other specifics can be found here:

We have extended the submission date. The new deadline for submission is June 5th, 2009.

Very good chance to win the money as the entries have been very limited. Over 250 views per day and only four entries total.

Any feedback on the contest would be greatly appreciated. Thought for sure this would get more interest but think we are missing something.

"What happens in Vegas" should be written about! We are excited to announce our first ever Sex in Vegas Erotic story contest. They call it Sin City for a reason and we want to hear your best naughty Vegas story. You can tell us about your special moment in the Champagne room, your Vegas hookup, a trip to a wild party or club, etc. The wilder it is the better. We will pick the top 5 stories and allow the readers of SexinVegas.com to vote for a winner. The winner will receive a cash prize of $150. Submissions must be received no later than May 31st, 2009. Voting will begin on June 1st, 2009 and will end June 15th, 2009. The winner will be announced via email and the website.

By submitting a story to Sex in Vegas, you certify the following conditions are true:

Here are some guidelines for what we will accept and consider for the final five entries:

I wrote something for it, but it sounds like it's more of a "true-life vignette" thing than an erotic romance/fiction thing. Sigh. Oh, well. I'll send my entry, anyway!

ETA: I entered! Here's hoping...I don't know if it's Vegas-y enough, because it's set in the backstage of a Cirque show, but we'll see. :)

That was probably the problem with the way we promoted it. The intention was for it to be fiction or non fiction but in reading our description it does not make that very clear. We plan to hold these contest quarterly and your feedback is a great deal of help. Thank you!!!

P.S. We will not be accepting anymore entries after midnight PST and will have the contest up Saturday.

We would like to thank all of those fine Vegas fans that voted for their favorite story in our first ever Vegas erotic story contest. We are pleased to announce that once the contest was finalized and votes counted....we have a tie. The following two stories received the exact same number of votes:

"Bewitching Night in Sin City" - A Couple makes a new friend at a private party

"Paradise by the Stage Floor Lights" - An wardrobe tech at Cirque's "Mystere" has an after-hour romp with a Russian acrobat.


We have decided to award the first place prize to both authors. Both will receive the $150 payment as well as the placement and link on our front page for a period of 30 days. Thank you all, again, for you participation and we will certainly be sponsoring another contest in the upcoming months.
