Monthly Prompt(s) Challenge--May 2009

Hiya Horror Folk,

I have been given the task--mutter--mutter--evil little undead doggie to come up with a prompt. So here it is. 500 words or less on a vampire and or a werewolf that does not sparkle.

No fluffy---or romantic beasties---unless your idea of romance is being ripped apart or having your life force completely drained. I was tempted to go with a zombie love story but I am under that restraining order---that doesn't allow with in 500 yards of the undead.

Damn. Really? No sparkles? Kind of takes away all the fun, doesn't it?

I want to join in these monthly prompts just as soon as the second draft of my WIP is finished. It's close and I don't want to interrupt the momentum.

Okay, I promise after this I'll relax for a day or three - or not depending on how hard my muse keeps pounding me.

Hinny, it's not "kissing up", it's that this stupid muse won;t stop beating me about the head nd shoulders!

Then I suppose my short about the werewolf that gets sent to the dog groomers by mistake and comes out looking like an oversized and very fluffy bichon frise is out then?

Never been done (by yours truly).

This'll be a stretch in an unusual direction for me.

Question: Can it be a slutty female vampire?

That would prolly ease my pain a bit.

How ironic. I was just toying with a were idea. Don't worry. The only thing that sparkles in my writing are rain, stars, and other things that are supposed to be shiny.

The challenge here is going to be 500 words. I chatter too much, as if nobody noticed.

Okay - I should bite my lip, but I had fun writing a bloodsucker story. And the word contraint made it interesting...I don't usually do short-short-shorts.
