I posted in the general newbie thread but wanted to give introduce myself separately to y'all as I can see myself spending too much time here.
I'm a sf writer through and through. I get enough reality in everyday life, thank you very much. I've been reading around the genre since my dad shoved Dune in my hands to stop my complaining on a long drive one summer long ago.
I write novels. I've 2 under my belt that I abandoned at various stages in revision and another that I'm revising now and WILL NOT abandon this time. I hope joining here and mingling with fellow writers will help me stay on track with this one.
I'm an editor on an academic journal IRL so tend to be a punctuatrix but I'll try to keep it under control.
My favourite writing quote: "Kill your darlings, trust your demon", by Lois McMaster Bujold. What's yours?
