What I actually meant is the standard list of dont's you'll find in most submission guidelines. I took this one from the Ellora's Cave guidelines.
NO pedophilia.
• NO rape as titillation. Rape may be used as part of the plot action, especially supporting character development, but MAY NOT be presented in a positive light or with the intent to stimulate erotic excitement or pleasure. The hero may not be a rapist.
• NO bodily functions (e.g., “golden showers”).
• NO necrophilia.
• NO knives or other weapons stuffed in various parts of the female anatomy. It’s sad that this even has to be stated, but there it is.
• NO bestiality. This rule refers to common animals indigenous to Earth; this does not apply to shape-shifting protagonists and sentient “otherworldly” humanoid animals in sci-fi or fantasy stories.

That'd be what I'd have to do if I participate in this one (looking at how the voting is going). If I really consider it taboo (e.g. incest) I won't write about it. If I'll write about it, I might consider it a bit on the kinky or sleazy side, but not taboo. lol.
Then the question becomes, could I invent a society that considered with a specific relationship taboo in 500-1200 words? lol

Well, the Share Your Work forum for erotica has the following rule posted:
"Posts containing sexualized violence, non-consensual sexual situations, or underage characters in sexual situations are absolutely not permitted"
And in the U.S. underage - i.e. below the age of consent - is generally anything under 18 in a lot of states. So my understanding of the forum rules are "nothing under age 18".
Oh, I have some ideas.

Hey, EL - I've already voted, (I'm that lone little 150 words vote - figured I could manage to post 150 words - lol) but I am curious as to what you meant by this:

I was thinking of a real challenge, two or more people involved, but we know this only from the description, thoughts and feelings of one of the people. It sounded hard to me.

For taboos, there's also teacher and student (in college so as to have everybody all nice and of age). You could write about a same sex relationship. You could set it in a fantasy setting with any two fantasy reces that hate each other, or at the very least wouldn't hop in bed (or wherever). Light elf and dark elf, elf and dwarf, elf and an orc (elves sure are hateful bastards), vampire and werewolf, or make two races up on the spot that dislike each other. Or you could have three or more fantasy races that hate each other, nobody said you couldn't do threesomes or orgies. In fact, there's another right there, you can have a threesome/orgie, many frown upon that.
Of course, there is always the easy way out; premarital sex. BTW, what's the policy here on adultery? Is that a no-no?
