This is driving me insane. My MCs are handing out flyers to try and locate a missing woman. Only one person is missing, and the phrase missing person's flyers doesn't look right to me.

Perla had gone off on her own. She knew the lingo of the streets, and she was going to hand out missing person’s flyers to hookers, addicts and winos.

Missing persons' flyer, missing person's flyer, missing person flyers? Help. :)

"Missing persons" acts as an attributive noun. Check out the "writers group" thread.

Qwerty is correct. A stack of flyers for one missing person would be called missing person flyers.
Missing Persons causes lots of problems. In police nomenclature, Missing persons, is a category of crime, or it could be a sub-department within the police department. MS Word is constantly trying to correct me when I write 'Missing persons cases," It wants to insert an apostrophe, or change persons to people.
