well, I was wondering if font really matters. I mean, my book is set in 12 point courier right now, but I think it is still a little big. Do publishers even care about font, or no?

Also, Courier 12 pt gives higher page count. TNR 12 is standard for me and what my agent prefers. Definitely double spaced, 1 inch margins and .5 indents!
(I prefer TNR look wise also, for me its easier to type and read as I go)

Maybe use whatever font you use, then change it to tnr before you start submitting. Sometimes it's fun to play with fonts when its just you reading it.

Publishers generally want Courier, as, among other things, it makes page counts easier to work out. E-zines and magazines are generally fine with Times New Roman.
I write all my work in Times New Roman, then convert it where necessary.
The bottom line is, if the agent/editor/publisher wants it in 1.5 Windings with triple spacing and no capitals, that's what you do.

Oh man, THAT would be awesome!!
Usually not for a sub, though you could write in whatever you prefer. I think it has to do with letter width? With TNR or Courier every letter takes up the same amount of space.
