Could someone critique my children's picture book

Hi everyone, I have written my first children's picture book manuscript and I could really use some feed back. My six year old daughter said it was great and made her laugh, but I thought I should ask an older audience

I really don't like the beginning. What are your thoughts?

Ah! First you posted it in the MAIN Share Your Work Board, then you posted it here. Where you actually want to post it is WITHIN the Share Your Work section, in the Childrens SYW forum specifically, which is HERE (password=vista)

Don't worry, it can be hard to find your way around here!

MeLanie--you might want to get it off your blog. (Agents and publishers rarely, if ever, scan blogs for that perfect new book.) Go to Share Your Work, read the stickies, then paste it into a new thread.

LOL I am such a dork, I missed the kids area over there in Share Your Work!

Stormie, I tried pasting it on the board before I put it on the blog but the format wigged out for some reason and made it difficult to read.
