Hi all,

I am showing my solo play in New York and want to invite theatre reps to watch, who might be able to give it a full production in the future.

Most theatres seem to only be accepting unsolicited submissions for writers' labs/residencies etc. Problem is I don't want to approach them solely as a playwright since I am also the performer of my work. I want them to come see it or at least watch a video.
Does anyone here have any suggestions on theatre companies/producers/presenters, who might be open to reviewing my work? (The play is rather unconventional -not a straight monologue- with a lot of sound, movement and some farcical elements.)

Also, I'm trying to find a list of managers, who might be interested in solo performers/writers.
Any suggestions?:)

I once saw a one-woman play where a large monitor was used on the stage to show the same actress as a sort of alter-ego. Perhaps you could use this or a similar idea somehow. Just a thought.

My play has a lot of sound but it's not multi-media.
I am kind of sceptical about the use of a lot of technology and videos in the theatre. When something is text based and relies on the presence of the actor, video art especially, always feels wrong.
