Anybody else going? I live close enough to drive it (5 hours), so I am definitely all in! They also have a few writing competitions worth checking into, one for unpublished authors even! ( Woot! Break out the notebooks, boys and girls!)

I hadn't thought about it, although I live right outside Nashville. I just saw on their website that Dr. Bill Bass will be attending. Great guy - I took basic anthropology from him at UT in 1983. Not to be missed, one of the most enjoyable lecturers on forensics you'll ever see. And I'm looking forward to chatting about Raymond Chandler with Michael Connelly again. I guess I am going, after all. :D

Doh! I was looking on the website at past GOHs (Bass and Connelly) and assumed they were going to be there this year, too. I either need more coffee or less bourbon.

I live in Clarksville, (about 30-45 minutes from Nashville) and I'd like to attend. Where can I find out more about it?

I did that too!!! (I was disappointed about Connelly as well, I would love to meet him.) :D

I'll be there! I'm slated to present a workshop on writers and research. I can't wait!

Last year was really great; a wonderful bunch and such fun.

I see it's at Cool Springs. Awesome. I used to work out that way and my husband does now. So I could go with him. I think it may be fate ...

I'd love to see more AWers this time. It really was a great weekend last time. It's hard to beat great information and great company.

Oh, I come from Californy with a band-aid on my knee
Cause I rumbled with the Hell's Angels and they nearly crippled me.
I tried to take their leader's chick, he didn't take it kind.
The acid bath he gave me left me deaf and blind
Holy Hannah, he pushed me 'neath a train!
Now my skull is in a canyon And the seagulls ate my brain!
Yeehah!
We're headin' on down to Nashville!
Y'all come and see us now, y'hear!
Good times, good times.
We're going to bar-b-q an AW admin So bring your favorite homemade sauces and tater salads, we'll have us a ball...or two.
Yeehah!
Git along lil doggies!

Very nice. We should make sure we find each other and all have dinner or lunch together.

Even if I don't attend, I'd love to meet up with some of you. It would give me a reason to leave my dark basement lair and move about in the light of day. Of course, glasses, scarves and a bit floppy hat will be necessary.

Even if I don't attend...Don't say it!!

But, certainly, even if you don't come, we can try to get together.

OK, I registered to go and signed up for pitch sessions. But I didn't see where to submit a MS. Maybe I'm just blind from being in the dark all day.

ETA: Duh. I see the MS critiques. I'm an idiot.

Hm. Maybe. Had to miss it last year because of work travel. We'll see.

There is no maybe. Be there or be square.

If my anti-social butt can go, no one else has any excuse for not attending. (Actually, there are acceptable reasons, but my point wouldn't sound as good.)

I'll be there. I'm presenting a couple of sessions on "Software for Starving Authors" & Web presence. (Come see me. I'll have freebies!)

Jana, don't you worry, we'll take care of the more bourbon thing.

What? Less bourbon? Perish the thought.

It's freaking Tennessee; there's bourbon on the breakfast cereal instead of milk.
