guys.

if a dream lasts several hundred years is it either;

the century's long dream,
the centurys long dream,
the centurys' long dream
or-as i wrote- the centuries long dream.

you may conclude that my writing is pants but please, if you could help dispell the green squiggly line of doubt i would be very greatfull.

Are you referring to the dream of a few centuries or a single one? If it is a few centuries, I agree with dpaterso's response below.

I'd say it was the centuries-long dream.

None of the above. "The century's" is singular (as in 100 years). No such words as centurys or centurys'. If it is possessive, it would be Centuries' long dream. However, in your context, I think centuries-long dream - as in the dream lasted centuries.
