Crossover Books - Agent?

It seems my children's book could well be a Crossover Book, appealing to adults as well as children. My question is, how on earth can you find an agent when it's hard enough for a specific genre?

Hard to say it's a crossover book until it, well, crosses over. If it's a children's book, then query agents representing that genre and hope for the best when it's published!

That would seem to make sense, but I was reading yesterday that only certain agents would handle Crossover books. Didn't hint at which ones, though.
