I have a silly question.

Okay, this is going to sound like a really silly question, i'm sorry. I'm using the Snowflake method and my question is, is that it say's you can use the
Three-Act structure which has A first Disaster, a second, and a last one. But is the Three act Structure the same as the plot as in the Beginning, the Middle and the End?

But basically yes, act one is the beginning, act two the middle, and act three the end.

The snowflake method is also compatible with four-act structure, which many people seem to like better. Four act structure is almost the same as three act structure, except the big middle act is cut into two smaller ones. The important thing to note is the "3 disasters and an ending" mentioned in the snowflake method - these correspond to the act one miniclimax, act two miniclimax/reversal, act two/three miniclimax, and act three/four overall climax. Also these don't have to literally be disasters, they can be a transformation or big revelation, anything that causes a large change in the type of action going on.

Three-act structure not= beginning/middle/end.

Everything has a B/M/E but not every story has a three act structure. A TAS must have three distinct units/sections of plot development. For example, Jurassic Park:

- Act I: getting to the island, explore, marvel, setting up

- Act II: sabotage, mayhem, disasters, dinos eating people, chaos

- Act III: fight back, finding a way out, climax, denouement
