Pen Names?

I am playing around with some writing that I'd rather not take the credit for (I still have a mother) and I have come up with a pen name that is based on a historical character (dead royalty) Can anyone see why this may cause conflict/ire/lawsuits? I have looked over some of the names publishing Erotica, and it's not like anyone would believe some of those...
Any thoughts?

I can understand the use of a pen name, I have been considering it myself especially since there seems to be a published author with the same name or similar...However I can not say how it would be reacted to in your circumstances...is it a name that any one may already have? I know it is based of a historical character but it feels hard to determine the effects without knowing the name...and yet at the same time there are timelines for such things aren't there?
I'm sorry I wish I could have been more help...and hope someone else is more help!
