I really enjoyed it. Stella Duffy (an established novelist in a different genre) takes on the challenge of producing a synopsis and three chapters for submission to M&B (the UK Harlequin). She talks to fans, authors and editors, and goes on a romance writing workshop. It's really interesting to hear her talk about the challenges of writing the romance genre and there's lots of useful insights into what readers and editors are looking for.

thanks for the link girlyswot. I think this was on one of the bbc digital channels a while back, along with a couple of other romance themed documentaries, but I managed to miss them all. When you're scatterbrained like me iplayer is a godsend.

doh, caught again. i have a bad habit of skipping the first part of a sentence. i'm an idiot. no it's not on youtube and i cant make it work with any proxy server either, i'm just not that savy. oh well. maybe it'll come on youtube some day.
