I've been a fan since it was first showed in Canada as a summer replacement show in about 1972. I never tire of it, and I love Mr. Humphries. He is my favourite character ever.
You can get the show on dvd in B&N.
I used to watch the show years ago in England but hardly ever do now even though my local PBS station still shows it. I'm freeeee!
For all of the seasons on DVD I think the cost online was $152.00. My dad is a huge fan and I may get it for him for xmas this year. I'd love to have it myself too.

Love the show. I understand it was supposed to be a vehicle for the actor who played the junior menswear guy (can't rember his name), but he was quickly outshined by the rest of the cast.

Mr. Humphries was the best character. My favourite by far. Although Mrs. Slocum is a close second. "I have to go home and let my pussy out."
A wonderful show, despite its low budget and some rather obvious acting. The writing was a gem.

Trevor "Mr. Lucas" Bannister is still very much alive, and it was originally conceived as a vehicle for him. John Inman, who played Mr. Humphries, passed away within the last two years or so.
Add me to the list...I absolutely love this show. Some people don't get British humor but I sure do. And some of the things they could get away with back then This is one of my favorite shows.

I'd seen her in AYBS before we got EastEnders here in the states, so it was quite a shock to see her go from dolly bird to dowdy frump. Did quite well in both roles, I'd say.
