I've recently changed my approach to my memoir A Life Gone Awry and started to write the beginning from the point of view of myself as I am working with my origional manuscript.

If I use a real agent's name in dialogue, would it seem name-droppy to you if you were an agent?
I think I do it tastefully and it is pretty necessary to the dialogue.

Ever see Adaptation.? If you do it right, it'd be great.

I don't know, but it seems that if it's nonfic, you should probably use real names, yeah? You could always just ask the agent if he or she is okay with it, but if it's not libel or anything, I don't know why it would be a problem. Keep in mind, though, I'm not an expert. Just a suggestion. *shrugs*
