Also a nightowl. Going to bed before 11PM is absurd to me. And more often than not, it is 5 am before I crawl into bed.

I am soooo tired, I drove at least a 150 miles today, but want to spend sometime with hubby he gets up at 3:30am to go to work, so I thought if I could stay up late until he has to get up I can spend a bit of time with him before he goes to work. Now I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Barring those trips to the city driving I am generally up until midnight or 1am. It is very cool to know there are other owlies like me. I am on the east coast of the US.

I enjoy writing at night it is the best, no kids to ask questions, DH is sleeping (dreaming of me I know :) and I can write with an uninterrupted flow of thought....

Unlike daylight hours when the house is busy.....

Anyway...
*stands in front of group, looks around the room. Hi my name is Dawn. I am an owlie. I did not start out as an owlie addicted to the darkness of the room and the glow of the computer monitor....it just happened gradually over time....*

Used to be a night hawk, but I've had to train myself to go to bed earlier and get up earlier. Right now though, I'm so tired I can hardly see. I'm boarding a dog who thinks he should start barking at 06:30hrs! That, and I've been out running on asphalt twice a day with him, spent an hour wearing a breathing apparatus for the first time at firehall training (with all the technology these days, don't you think someone should've invented an SCBA that doesn't weigh 30 pounds?) Tuesday night and yesterday, Mom gets up and says 'Hey, let's go skating today'. So I can hardly move and my eyes aren't staying open as well as they should.

I try not to be but since most of my work shifts are nightshifts my sleeping pattern tends to be a little off. Oddly enough I find I do my best writing in the morning.

Another night owl checking in! I seldom go to bed before 2:00 a.m. Night is the best time for writing -- peaceful, quiet, less chance of interruption. Of course, early birds say the same thing about the o'dark thirty hours!
