About half an hour ago I got a call from a friend I was supposed to be going out with tomorrow.
No, wait. A friend with whom I was supposed to be going out.
Hang on.
A friend with whom out I was supposed to be going.
Anyway. They cancelled because there's a problem with work they're having done on their house and instead of saying, "Is there anything I can help you with?" my first thought was, "Yay! I don't have to get up early which means I can stay up late working on my WIP and talking to Lori on MSN!"
My second thought was, "Mmm. This rhubarb crumble's delish." But that has nothing much to do with anything.
Anyway. Have you ever thought or said anything that meant you put your writing before those pesky things known as 'social lives'?
