Middle Grade Agents

I've recently learned that my book is at the MG level, thanks to some very nice people here. I originally intended it (and sent out queries) as a YA novel. I tried doing a search for it, but came up empty.

Does anyone have a good list or some recommendations for some good MG agents? Or even where I can find them?

Google 'literary agents middle grade' and you will come up with quite a few. More have added middle grade to their lists of what they want to rep. Make sure you check out each one on the 'Bewares and Background Check' thread. Some are not legit.

You can go to www.agentquery.com and enter Middle Grade into the search. You'll find lots of agents there who represent middle grade.

I found that there were very few who said specifically said they were MG, but there were quite a few who wanted both children's and young adult. I queried them and avoided any who specified that they didn't want children's.

Verla Kay's posts 'response times' threads on almost all agents for YA/Childrens. You could do a search on Middle Grade and see which agents pop up. They also post the latest news on agents too sometimes, so if there are changes/moves in the industry, you can usually find them there as well.
