I'm currently writing a book in the same type of vein. I've lived an interesting life and was involved and witness to some bizarre stuff. I'm currently compiling everything into chronological essays. So far it's kind of funny, sad, and sort of weird re-living past events that shaped who I am today.

Any thoughts or advice? I'm gonna read or already read some Henry Milller, Celine, Fante (John), Hunter Thompson and more Buk. Any more suggested reading.

Read Journey to the End of the Night by Louis Ferdinand Celine, and forget those other wussies who copy him. Fante is overhyped, since his books get boring after the half-way mark, but Bukowski is great. Recently bought South of No North. Best poet I've ever read.
