my foot slides on frozen snow
eye ice glitter overwhelms
I dazzle myself with emotions
crying till pain turns to suffering
so many images of death
when will I be released
every morning ET tells me how to be
easy for him, he's been redeemed
my mind slips on frozen feelings

A dark spot
between the pines
o'erridden with snow,
lifeless?
No.
Trails of man
linger even here,
somewhere
just before
the light.

I had the strangest dream
that a shadow is a shadow
but never truly black
and winter may be harsh
but stray steps to your doorway
and the melting brings me back
high mountain streams will stream
and water laughs the way down
as blue shadows on the grass
I will remember you in springtime
kissing me lightly, on the brow.

softly Sun
touches Winter's shoulder -
her performance ended
but waiting for
curtain calls -
gently escorts the
grand dame
to the wings
so that Spring
can take the stage

your light
cuts my dark
crisp kisses
an interlude
fire that's never lit
lies between us
blanketed
by lost possibilities
cold courtesy
is silent

if I continue
along this dark path
will the light
I see
remain?
