Has anyone seen the Dead Like Me movie? None of the video stores here have it for rent and I'm wondering if it's actually worth buying?

Update (for the curious): An hour after posting, my boyfriend found it for rent at one of the small rental stores.
Thankfully, I didn't buy it. It suffered from so many problems (recast, plot, script) that I'm not sure there was much point in releasing it. The spark from the series was completely missing.

I just watche dit last night, and you are very right. Everything that was good about the series was missing. While the series occasionally had plot holes, at least hte dialog was always sharp and the acting very good. Everything we knew (and loved) about hte characters had changed for the movie and wit was completely absent.

George was nice, Daisy was weak and unsure of herself, Mason wasn't overdrugged and assinine, Rube was gone, and the most disappointing of all was roxie, she was weak and pleasant and seemed like a new reaper that didn't know things were supposed to go. Even George's mom was nice and well adjusted - what the heck?
I guess some people will like it anyway because they didn't much pay attention to the nuances of the original, but dang it, I think this movie is a terrible ending to what was a very entertaining show. They should've left well enough alone.
