This is not a "Can I put this in YA?" thread.
Basically, my male MC is supposed to be attractive, but, for various reasons, he is going to be losing a fair amount of blood basically every day, and has serious heart problems. (He's still running around doing stuff, though. It's fantasy. It's hard to explain.) Realistically, it might make sense for him to not be able to get it up for a little while and then recover.
So how do you feel about this? Do you just not want to deal with that in YA? Can you not have a sexy lead who can't do the deed? Do you think this would appeal to fans of the Purity trend or help keep the sex thing on the table to help increase suspense? Is it weird or gross or anything? Anything?
