That is part of a qoute from David Orr a writer for the New York Times. The article is titled: The Great(ness) Game (http://http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/22/books/review/Orr-t.html?partner=rss&emc=rss). A very interesting article about the quality of today's poetry. I would like to hear what other Poets/Writers have to say.

i linked to it this morning at authorscoop. like many essays on poetry, it spends a great deal of time mired in the past.
for me, the future of poetry boils down to accessibility.
