What's the top edge of a valley called? Anyone know the proper term? Is it the bank? The crest? The edge? The top?

Well ,to be technicle it depends on the formation that formed the valley- Personally I would just say -" He walked tot he top of the rise and looked into the valley below."

or something along those lines- Ok now someone will come along and give you a real answer...

A valley can be defined by any number of landforms. The Shenandoah Valley, for example, doesn't have a rim, but the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River does.

The valley is shallow. There is a plateau on one side with a parking lot on it. My MC has parked on it, and is overlooking the valley.
