I'm concerned about the word count.
To understand many posts about this, I'd like to know how many words do you have in 1k?
thanks!

chimita, i see you're from Chile. The K in the expression 1K or 10K or what have you refers to the word Kilo, meaning thousand. S0 1K is one thousand, 10K is ten thousand, etc.

Do you mean kilobytes? If so, that's a good question, though it might vary...

Edit: If this is a question of kilobytes, I did a brief and unscientific experiment with a Rich Text Document and a calculator and came up with about 25 words to the kilobyte.

Thanks for your replies!
When somebody says that they wrote 60k, what do they mean? They wrote 60.000 words or 1.500 words (for kilobyte as MumblingSage said)?

We use it for a quick way to say 1,000 of many things (in case you are interested):

$100k

3k miles to California from here

A 10k square foot warehouse... (area)
