Hello all! I'm trying to work out my time line involving a wounded animal, something larger like a wildcat or wolf. The injuries could have been dealt by another animal or by a human. They are mild enough that the animal can keep going about its business but severe enough to eventually cause problems. How long would it take for the animal to either bleed to death or succumb to infection?
Of course it depends on the specific severity of the wounds and their placement. Can you give me some suggestions and ideas? Is it plausible that the injuries worsen and weaken the animal over a period of 14-20ish days? At this point, would there be any hope of saving the creature if human physicians became involved? Even false hope? Or would the animal likely die much sooner than this?
Any thoughts and information would be appreciated!
