I just finished reading a book that I thought was worth mentioning. The book is still in publishing but I have to say that the authors are extremely talented.
Authors are Saundra Julian and Molly Jones. They have written a book titled "Goldie." Goldie is definitely a keeper. I know...most everyone on this board dislikes PA, but their book is amazing and reguardless of the publisher, it is extremely well written... great storyline... attention grabber... and unique. I had a very hard time putting it down and hope to see more by them.
This is a book that should not suffer because of the publisher! Look her up and try to read a sample of their writing, it is worth the effort and time. If I am wrong let me know :)
not to be a newbie, but PA?

PA = PublishAmerica

PA stands for PublishAmerica. Some of the books they publish are good, but the publisher itself, well, look up the Neverending PublishAmerica Thread on the Bewares and Background Check forum, and you'll see what kind of publisher it is.
Like I said though, some of the books they publish are quite good. And I've heard several good things about the book CJWilkes is mentioning, although I have not read it personally.
I don't know, but it might very well be a good read.

I'm sure a lot of good writers land deals with mediocre publishers. It's a shame. That's why it's so important, I tell people, to do your research.

"Mediocre" doesn't even explain PA.
I hope Julian and Jones find a good publisher, soon. If they're as good as you say they are, CJ, they will.

I hope they do well, and I mean that. But I am not going to buy a book from PA, no matter how good it is. PA is a scam, pure and simple. Buying a PA book is just one more stat they can use to justify their existence.
If the book really is any good, it will find a home somewhere else, sometime down the line.

I truly enjoyed it! One day I hope you will all get the chance to read their writing... especially Goldie and any sequals.
I have to admire Ed for having bought my book even though it was a PA book. Prices are extreme with PA but it is a book worth having in my library.

I totally agree. I'm always happy to support a good writer/good book but I refuse to put so much as a penny in PA's pocket. They're just scammers, in my opinion, who prey on novices.

It's unfortunate, CJ, but many of us here simply wouldn't buy a PA book out of principle. I think the authors could do better by going with someone like iUniverse or Lulu (before they find a real publisher)...

Look for Saundra Juliann's book "Luke" I have just completed it and all I can say is WoW! I am not sure who she is getting it published through... :)
