Hi Everyone,

I just read an ad from Cat Fancy in my writers ezine - so went to the site to check out the guidelines and it appears that they now accept submissions year round as opposed to Jan-May.

They also pay for short pieces for kids.

Now I can get rejections from them anytime I want! :D

Seriously, that's good to know. Thanks, Reece!

I wonder if they'll still take a year to reply? (Or in my case, to reject). Why oh why is Bird Talk the only Bowtie pub. that will have me?!

Intriguing. I had given up on hearing from them after three months. There may be hope yet. On the other hand, I'm not holding my breath.

I was wondering about that, but thought they might not have updated the website yet (as has been known to happen sometimes.) Oh well.

Relating to the other point, they say "Responses come by August" but they don't mention which year... :D

I didn't think that other website looked very official, but couldn't tell for sure. Oh, well. I guess they get too many queries for year-round acceptance.

By the way, did anyone else notice in the April issue that they have an ad announcing the first-ever double issue -- half of it will be called Natural Cat with Jenna Fischer on the cover in June. I wonder if they are thinking of launching a new mag and they're trying it out first.

Anyone have an article in this special issue?
