They can see what your post if they haven't also put you on ignore.
You won't see their original posts, but you will probably continue to see much of what someone you've put on ignore posts because other people will quote them.
Try it on someone just to see. You can always change it back.

The ignore feature has a tendency to drive you (me) mad, because you can see that your nemesis posted, but you don't know what they've said. If you own an ounce of paranoia, or one of those deeply itchy curiosities, better just to suck it up and brave the irritant.
