I'm a grass hopper from way back.

LOL grammar for me is a foreign language. before this I couldn't spell after years of struggle I have learnt to spell.

So where do commas go and these things ; what are those and what do they do? what are these used for !?

can I post some thing I have written on here and get others to edit it to show me Grammar and where i need to add these things.

Apparently there are also word that do not go together in a sentence how does a person know this combination.?

You can post your work on SYW but I suggest you buy a primary school text book on the basics of punctuation or look it up on-line. There are plenty of places to get help. That would save busy AW writers doing your work for you. By the way, I'm still a hopeless speller and left school illiterate so I know where you're coming from.

I have posted something on humour, I haven't had a response yet. I have been reading a lot on this Message Board also. It really has made a difference, it has made me slow down a lot and think about what I'm posting.
I have also googled as you suggested, that to has made a we bit of difference. My ears are open and Im keen to learn.

I don't like to nit-pick other people's posts, but since you're asking for help . . .

that too. too means also, to doesn't.

I'm. The apostrophe shows it's an abreviation. To put it simply, the apostrophe goes where a letter is missing.

Examples in this post are: do not - don't. it is - it's. does not - doesn't.

what are these used for !?

how does a person know this combination.?

Never use more than one punctuation mark at the end of a sentence. In the first example, it should be: what are these used for?

The second should be: how does a person know this combination?
