I think I vaguely recall something on this topic, but couldn't find a thread so pardon the repetition if there is.
My non-fiction How-To will have a number of photos, diagrams, graphs, templates, etc. Not a lot (I think) but sufficient to matter. In the case of spreadsheets or the format of a contract, I have done those in Excel or Word and inserted them into the text at the relevant place. In the case of photos, my own line drawings and pdfs I'd like to use, I can't do that, but do I indicate "Photo goes here!" on a blank page?
Do I account for it somehow in the page count of the chapter in the Table of Contents, in the body of the ms, or is there a more conventional way to let the agent/publisher know those things exist?
