First Snowy Owl in Tennessee in Over Twenty Years

A snowy owl is making his home near the Saturn auto plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. He's been nicknamed Chevy. According to another source, the last sighting of a snowy owl in Tennessee was in 1987.

How totally cool. We periodically have a great horned owl in our back yard. I've never seen it, but know that's what it is. Great horned owls are the only ones (so the raptor expert told me) that actually make the 'who who' sound.
