Inkheart is released today, I want to see it SO BAD! Book characters stepping out of the book as you read, what else can you wish for??

A faithful adaptation without Brendan Fraser?
oh come on, brendan fraser isn't that bad. he was brilliant in God and Monsters. And he made journey to the centre of the earth bearable..... I was desperate. lay off.

Brendan Fraser makes the movie, imo. Okay, so I haven't seen it yet.

Seriously, though, I like the idea of the movie, so I'll probably check it out when it comes out on DVD.

I just want it not to suck. Brendan Fraser has done some nice work. IMHO, though, he's not nearly old enough for the role. At least, not how I saw him in my head. In my head I saw someone older, with a more resonant voice, like Liam Neeson or Gerard Depardieu.
The trailer was really weird to me, because I think the book is mostly about the little girl, but the movie seems to be all about her dad (Brendan Frasier). I dunno, they might just be trying to emphasize the BrendanFrasieriness of the movie...

collection of reviews. it only rates 36% but that means nothing. critics look for different things and have totally different requirements but they often talk about main aspects of movies which are nice to know.
Yeah, but that's like saying, it's gotta be better than sitting in a hot tub full of donkey mucus.
Inkheart's not bad - involving enough that I got a little teary at the end.
I haven't, however, read the books.

In fact, my nine-year old son's response was "I hate the liberties they take with adaptations."

When I saw the trailer, I basically went.
"OH MY GOD THEY'RE MAKING A THURSDAY NEXT Mo...oh...wait, no, no...its not The Eyre Affair."
