I used to receive new posts to threads I subscribe to via email. I no longer do so. Was this feature deleted?
Email notifications for subscribed threads not working?

I got a thread notification email just yesterday for the SYW Starbucks thread. These problems often have to do with with spam filtering at your ISP or some such. I'm not sure how to help other than seeing if you can turn of spam filtering at the ISP level.

And of course when I select User CP, I see this thread listed at the top, under New Subscribed Threads

No surprise that I got another notification for your post above this. So the mechanism is working. Just not for you, obviously.
When you select User CP, do you see a notification sitting above your reputation comments?
e.g.
New Subscribed Threads: (1)

And -- obvious check -- does your AW profile have your correct email address? I can't check this, member email info is hidden/anonymous.

I'm not. But if it isn't going to work I may as well not have it on at all. No matter what i do it didn't work! So I guess I am giving up for the time being. No use getting myself mad over this.
On a side note, it does not really mmatter what the heck it is set at. It isn't going to work anyway
