Postage Question

I'm just about ready to start dropping queries in the mail for my novel. Here's what I need to know:

I'm in Canada, if I'm querying U.S. agents, does my SASE need to be an airmail envelope with a .60 usf stamp?

What size of envelope do you use for a 1 page query? Do you send it out in a 8x11 and throw in the SASE, or use a #10 envelope and throw in a smaller SASE?

Oh, such a greenhorn.......... :Shrug:

Yes, you should use a U.S. Air Mail stamp for your return letter, as that's where it's being mailed from.

For a 1 page query, you can use a regular #10 envelope. You don't need to send an 8x11 unless it's something that mustn't be folded - like a photo or script.

It's okay to fold a #10 envelope so it fits inside another one. (In thirds, with the creases going top-to-bottom works well.)
